I'd like to recommend a a smart little app. I haven't swapped out my Temp File Cleaner (HDValet) for any other since Windows98. Everything I tried just didn't seem as useful to me as HDValet...and I tried a bunch over the years.

A couple of months ago, I accidentally bumped into this app. It wasn't recommended to me. I really just bumped into it. I only needed to take one look at it and play with the configuration for a couple of minutes and I knew this one I wanted.

IE Privacy Keeper.

When you get it and open it, click on the "Files" tab and insert all the paths to Files and Folders you want to always remove.

For example, after you use Windows Update, the Catroot folders are always re-created. No good reason for me to keep them after the update is made. Same with the Windows Update Folder in C:\Programs. Or the SYSTEM.INI file on C:\ which keeps returning even though XP ignores it. And so many log files in C:\ ...and other temp files created in other areas by registry cleaners and other programs I personally use.

And it clears every so fast, too! Like, click.

Hope you enjoy it as much I as do.
I also have HDValet on my pc. Don't use it as often as I used to. Trying out IE Privacy Keeper it looks pretty good. I use this one http://www.danish-shareware.dk/soft/emptemp/
