I thought Jaded_Goth would get a kick out of this Windows appearance tweak..
Try it with you avatar, Jaded_Goth.
Download a copy of Resource Hacker.

Now, just for safe keeping, locate "sysdm.cpl" in the system32 folder, and copy and paste it someplace safe.
Open Resource Hacker, click on "file" then "open" and browse to the "sysdm.cpl" file in the system32 folder. Highlight and open the file.
Now, on the left-side of Resource Hacker, you will see a tree. Select "Bitmap" from the tree, and double-click on it. Then double-click on the number "1" just below it. Highlight number "1", and then you'll see your System Property bitmap on the right-side.
Click on "Action" on top of Resource Hacker. Select "Replace Bitmap".
In the next window it displays, click on "Open file with new bitmap...", and browse to the bitmap you want to replace the original with.
Now click on the "Replace" bar below.
Now, click on "File", and select "Save as". Save the file to your Desktop as "sysdm.cpl" (without the quotes).
Now drag and drop this new "sysdm.cpl" file to your system32 folder and let Windows replace the existing sysdm.cpl with this new one you just made.
There you have it. No reboot necessary. Just open up System Properties and take a look at the new picture you placed there...all by yourself. Pretty neat, huh?
