Correctly Patching Proxomitron Using ProxoPatcher

~ What You Need ~

~ Installing The Fonts ~

1. Double-click on Andale32.exe
2. Double-click on Tahoma32.exe


~ Patching It! ~

1. Create a folder on drive C called ProxoPatcher
2. Extract proxopatcher36.zip to C:\ProxoPatcher
3. Go into the directory where you installed Proxomitron to and copy Proxomitron.exe to C:\ProxoPatcher
4. Run Proxo45j-patcher36.exe
5. Click next until it asks you to select a folder
6. Browse to C:\ProxoPatcher
7. Click next and it will patch it
8. Browse to teh directory where you installed Proxomitron and rename Proxomitron.exe to Proxomitron-Original.exe
9. Copy the patched Proxomitron.exe file to where you installed Proxomitron


~ Restoring the Original Proxomitron Icons ~

If you don't like the little green triangle with the dot in it, you can restore it to the old icons.

1. Extract reshack.zip to a folder
2. Run ResHacker.exe
3. Go File -> Open and browse to where you installed Proxomitron and select Proxomitron.exe
4. Go Action -> Replace Icon
5. Select 102
6. Click on Open File With New Icon and select Proxomitron-Original.exe
7. Select 102 and click Replace
8. Go back to Action -> Replace Icon
9. Select 156
10. Click on Open File With New Icon and select Proxomitron-Original.exe
11. Select 156 and click Replace
12. Go back to Action -> Replace Icon
13. Select 162
14. Click on Open File With New Icon and select Proxomitron-Original.exe
15. Select 162 and click Replace
16. Go File -> Save

A question: has anyone got the patched version to work in LInux? The unpatched works fine, but I'm getting the following error message while running the patched version:
