A "throbber" is the animated graphic that appears in the upper right corner of most web browsers, on internet explorer is ok, but why on windows explorer? Now you can turn it off!

Reduce the size of the buttons on the taskbar to the half
I made this one time ago, plenty of space now...

Code:
REGEDIT4

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Control Panel\desktop\WindowMetrics]
"MinWidth"="-1155"

Enjoy! Wink

Tclock2 - awesome!!!

I've been a long-time user of TClockEx 1.4.2...
Is Tclock2 the Win XP version of TClockEx?

I like TClockEx's calendar better than Tclock2 (Tclock2 highlights today's date when you scan months, yuck!)...
Everything else, Tclock2 wins hands down...
I love TClockEx. One of the reasons why i'm still with Win2K most of the time. Looking at Tclock2 as soon as possible.
You won't be disappointed - I was thoroughly impressed...

Although I am already trying to 'hack' it to get rid of the 'highlight' in the calendar...
I already know how to change my Start button. I changed mine to say Butt. I'm young so it seems funny to me still. Big Teeth
Hi "Guys",
Here is a nice little proggie that I found for "XP". It's called "SafeXP". Has some nice "security tweaks".
Quote:Safe XP Publisher's Description:

The options include Media Player settings, Services settings (error reporting, time synch, remote registry etc.), as well as and option to remove items from the Start menu, network security settings and more.
Safe XP improves your system performance and makes Windows to run faster, more secure and reliable! It is suitable for beginners and experts!
-Take control of your PC.
- Make Windows to run faster and more secure.
- Protect your privacy and strength Internet protection.
- Disable Spyware-like activities of Windows XP (also 2000/ME/98) Operating System, Media - Player, Internet Explorer and Outlook.
- Disable unnecessary Windows services like System updates, error reporting and much more...
- Prevent Internet attacks.
- It does not need any DLL or another file(s). It is just a single "EXE" file: SafeXP.exe
- No installation necessary.

Take Care and Best wishes,
"~JaK~" =:-)
Awesome! Thanks Jak...

ps - Kye-U, seems that there are still "issues" with the attached file downloadability...
My list of recommended software...

Sensiva (release 1.07) - mouse gesture app, FULLY customizable (UNLIKE StrokeIt)...
Active CPU 1.1 - systray utility that monitors CPU useage...
WinKey - put that Windows key between Ctrl and Alt to real use...
Registry Healer - clean up your registry of 'left behind' entries...
RegSeeker - another registry cleaner...
RegScrubXP - still another registry cleaner (a clean registry is VERY important to me)...
XP AntiSpy - does "some" of the stuff that Jak's SafeXP does - I like SafeXP better...
Noisy Keyboard - plays typewriter sounds while typing (it's a retro thing)...
MRU-Blaster & Spybot & Spyware Blaster & Ad-Aware...
Nice! Smile!

Safe XP is great, thanks Jak
Noisy Keyboard is cool too, thanks ProxRocks

I've tried Active CPU, but i'll stay with TaskInfo2003.
TaskInfo2003 sounds like a great thing (didn't download, just visited the home page)...

But all I'm looking for is an icon in the systray to indicate CPU usage, a "level meter" of sorts...

Does TaskInfo2003 have any option to simply display a 'level meter' icon?

Hi,

Yes, that's how it looks 99% of the time, showing your Swap file, RAM & CPU usage graph on a tiny icon on the systray. You can access the main window by clicking on that icon, is like an advanced task manager replacement, lets you kill processes, free RAM, view per-aplication open connections...

give it a try Wink
Just tried it...
That IS cool...

Uses quite a bit more resources than Active CPU does, but I'll use it until my trial expires...
Here is a list of my programs...
