https://remailer.firenze.linux.it/cgi-bi...l-user.cgi

it is a type III remailer (mixminion), an evolution of the mixmaster remailers.

enjoy,
altosax.
NICE!
*Goes off to annoy my friends on this very special DAY!*
Hi "~Guys~",
Good to see You again "~Alto~"! Cheers
"~KYE-U~" if You are just wanting to annoy friends rather than Heavy duty "PGP" ecrypted e-mails for untracable Posts to News Groups,
Here is a very nice service, It's a Free "Web-based" anonymous remailer. You can also check to see if the mail has been delivered, and or "read" by the receiver! I've had a lot of fun with it. They will ask You to give an "e-mail addy" and that will become Your login name, so You might want to think about which addy You might want to give them. Smile! I've had a lot of fun with it my self, . . lol, . .Oh and because it's web-based, You can send e-mails from any machine, . . .

Best Wishes, . .Have Fun, . .
and below is a nice little proggie that You might want to check out to, . . .I run an e-mail server on local machine and chain this little proggie to it, . . .that way I don't have to worry about using someone's else's "pop server".

Later,
"~JaK~" [smoke]
Thanks Jakx!

How would I be able to set up my own POP server? Eyes Closed Smile
One Giant-Economy-Pop server coming right up, . .I've also included another little proggie like the one that was uploaded eariler. Smile!
Just install both of the proggies on Your machine, set the client to localhost (127.0.0.1) and then set the e-mail server to only accept connections from Your little Proggie's account. Client & server on One machine. Big Teeth Then You don't have to be bothered with finding an open relay, get them crazy messages about "Polite People say HELO first" lol.

At Christmas You can send the "Kiddies" e-mails from "Kris_Kringle@North-Pole.org"
But remember this is for "Fun", Your IP will show up in the "FULL HEADERS". :o

Best Wishes,
"~JaK~"Cheers

best regards, my friends,

Jak, your attachment isn't downloading for me. I know ProxRocks had this problem, but he didn't have a solution except to get it from CC. I'm on spring break so I'm not on my normal computer. He had IE6 and XP1. I'm on right now:

PIII
Win98
IE6 & Netscape

Or, Kye-U, could you add the file to the FileDB?

Enjoy!
Thanx Kye-U. It still gets me that we can't figure out whats causing it to not download.
Hi "~Guys~",
Thankx "~KYE-U~", I just saw the post and was going to up-load the files but saw that You already had. Smile!
Just a few suggestions:

*Change the default ports in the Mail Server to something other than the standard SMTP(25) and POP3(110) You can change them to anything other than a port that some other Proggie is using. And change the "Finger" port to 0. Now You will also have to change the e-mail client's port to match the (SMTP) port of the mail server. This is for "Security Purposes", You don't want someone else "using" Your Personal Mail-Server. Smile! You know it could happen.

*Next You might want to change the name of Your computer since this will show up in the FULL HEADERS of e-mails You send. You could change it to something like AnonMailServer. lol.Big Teeth

*Then send Your self an e-mail and check the full headers to see what all is showing up.
Please let Me know if You need help with riggin' these "Two Mules" up together. Have fun!
Take Care and Best Wishes,
"~JaK@e-mail_daemon.biz~ =:-)

I changed mine to read "Public Access Denied" [lol]

BTW, nice intro course on how to do this. I've been doing it on a Linux box since mid 1999. Can't access it from on the road, though, so it's really a back-up plan for me, at the moment. Perhaps if I updated, eh? :o [rolleyes]

Now that we've gone this far, what are your thoughts on ORBS, MAPS RBL, RTBS, etc.?

Oddysey
Hi "Guys",
Well, while that I firmly believe in one's right to "freedom" of speech, (sadly to say a right that is slowly being "taken" away by subtile undermining of the "politically correct" avocates), I think that one also has the right to not have to be bothered with unwanted "media" in any form.

All one has to do, is to look and listen around You, and take note and inventory of People like "Jimmy the GreeK", Marge Shotz, and former department of interior "James Watts" who were fired from their jobs, just because they used terms (without any malious intent) which was considered to be "Politically Incorrect". I don't remember the exact words that he used but basisically he (being the chairman of that board) said that the board could speak from all different points of view, because they had a woman, a Jew, a black, and a "cripple" on the board. While these terms were then and now considered to be "unethical", he meant no disrespect to anyone. But because his vocabulary was "out-dated" for the politically correct crowd, he lost his job of which he had occupied for many years. We all I believe have prejudices to differing degrees and toward different things irreguardless of what we would like to believe about ourselves. But I think that if we would be a judge, we should judge according to character of one's heart and actions, not ethenic backgrounds, color or race, religion, or physically attributes. We were once told that "love is blind" and we should ignore and pretend that differences doesn't exist, but I don't believe that! I think that we as a people should Not ignore our brother's differences, but should accept People for what they are and "live and let live" as long as they are not a threat to themselves or others. And to imbrace and celibrate each other's differences. Even if I don't agree with My Brother's thoughts & opinions, I would fight for his right have them! I know I'm getting off the subject, . . .but I feel very strongly about the subject I'm speaking on. And one thing that I would fight for is his right to freedom of speech, to say what he thinks and feels without repercussions. Slowly but surely our rights as an individual are being taken away by those who would want to "police" not only our actions, but our very words and thoughts! To Me, that's the highest form of "TERRANNY" when those in power try to stifle the very freedom, right, and privilege to "dream and imagine" what could be. I believe it was "Votaire" that said when a man loses his "freedom of thought", he dies. I most whole-heartedly Agree!
Ok,. . .someone else now can have the "Soap Box" now, I'm "done", . . .stick a fork in Me and turn Me over and get Me done on the other side! LOL!

As to Your original question about
Quote: "what are your thoughts on ORBS, MAPS RBL, RTBS, etc.?
I am not against the content of "Spam", but it's effect on clogging up & slowing up the "Net". It's just like the junk mail in My "Snail-Mail" box, I can't stop it from being crammed in My Mail-box by the post-man and cluttering up My Mail-box, but I don't have to read it. But it makes My paper-shredder very "happy" to get fed every now and then! Smile!

Best Wishes,
"~JaK~"

PS:" I like what You renamed Your Computer "~Oddysey~" I went into that little mail server's "Localhost" entry and put an IP Number in it! Hahahaha, You should look at the e-mail "headers"! *Smiles* ~JaK~
Jak,

Nice to see that someone is thinking for hisself, instead of repeating the same ol' drivel. You and I are brothers under the skin, my man. :P

We might be on different wave-length's here, Jak. I'm thinking that a Real Time Block List will act as a guardian against known sources of spam. Even though it can't be 100% effective. it's certainly better than nothing.

I'm sure you've heard many a complaint from your friend that he gets upwards of 200 pieces of spam a day, right? And what do you get? Me, I get no more than 2 a week, sometimes less. That's 5 to 8 pieces a month, which beats the tar out of 200 a day, don't you think? I've seen the delete keys of some of my friend's keyboards - they're completely worn through! [angry] [lol] The difference between me and them is all due to my using Block Lists like those mentioned above (in the quote).

Insitituting them is not hard, I just wondered if you have any "quickie" suggestions for the crowd, before I chime in with my usual, patented, Oddysey-sized long-winded technical diatribe. :o

Oddysey
Thankx "~Oddysey~",
I appreciate the "kindered-spirit" Cheers
I guess I did mis-understand the question. I really hadn't given much thought to using "block-lists" for spam-killers. But I think that it's an excellent idea! I'm all ears. I don't get alot of e-mails anyways, other than The FORUM Members, a family member or two and the usual herbal vigaria, and the latest "promising" a certain "enhancement" product, . .hahahahahaha. I just smile, shake my head, and "bounce" it back with "mail-washer". lol! Maybe I should send them a picture, and see if they think I still need their product! [lol]

And I've always enjoyed reading Your Posts "~Oddysey~". Never thought that You were long winded. There are just some subjects that it does take a page to clarify and explain. I know that some people might get the "deer in the head-lights" look when You venture into "deeper waters", but how is one suppose to learn except that the "target" just does exceed our "grasp". Sometimes You have to stretch to reach it and that's when we learn. Smile! I like to try to learn something new everyday. And I can learn from anyone that can break it down into terms I can understand and relate to. I might have to go over and over it until it starts making sense, but I'm willing to put the time in.

So "fire away" My Good Friend, I'm anxiously awaiting Your Reply.
And by the way, I would like to learn some more about the way You've got Your linux box set up for the e-mails! Smile! I've changed My 'puter's name to that one You Posted, . .Good Idea!

Best Wishes,
"~JaK~" [smoke]
