Port conflict between Proxomitron and UltraSurf...
Hi all, I am a Proxomitron newbie.
I want to browse a website that is filtered in my area, for example http://www.xs4all.nl/. So, I use a proxy bypassing software like UltraSurf, Freegate, or GPass. Let's use UltraSurf 9.5 in this case. This program uses the port number 9666. So I change the default port number in Proxomitron, that is 8080, to 9666. Then set my browser to use 127.0.0.1:9666 as the proxy. With all these settings, first let's run just UltraSurf, and my browser. With no problem I can surf the xs4all.nl (wow, I bypass the filtering of my country!). Then, I run Proxomitron too. When I try to browse "xs4all.nl", this time I am unable and the website is filtered. The "Log Window" of Proxo says: "HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden". I guess the problem is that Proxo's priority is higher than UltraSurf and therefore it doesn't allow my Opera to browse via UltraSurf. I need your help to figure this problem out. Thanks, P.S. I have copied the log here: --------------------------------------------------- +++GET 3+++ GET / HTTP/1.0 User-Agent: Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 5.1; U; en) Presto/2.2.15 Version/10.00 Host: http://www.xs4all.nl Accept: text/html, application/xml;q=0.9, application/xhtml+xml, image/png, image/jpeg, image/gif, image/x-xbitmap, */*;q=0.1 Accept-Language: en-US,fa;q=0.9,en;q=0.8 Accept-Charset: iso-8859-1, utf-8, utf-16, *;q=0.1 Accept-Encoding: gzip, deflate Pragma: no-cache Cache-Control: no-cache Connection: keep-alive Browser reload detected... +++RESP 3+++ HTTP/1.0 403 Forbidden +++CLOSE 3+++ --------------------------------------------------- |

RE: Port conflict between Proxomitron and UltraSurf...
bugger! thanks for your reply.
But the problem is: your "proxy2.tpgi.com.au:3128" is filtered in my country too!!!!! Can I do these?: - set port to 8080 - check remote proxy - set external proxy server to: 127.0.0.1:9666 <--- This seems not to be external server though |
