"The requested URL could not be retrieved"
Quote:ERROR

The requested URL could not be retrieved

While trying to retrieve the URL: http://www.goodreads.com/

The following error was encountered:

Could not resolve Hostname "www.goodreads.com"
Some aspect of the requested URL is incorrect. Possible problems:

Hostname does not exist (or has expired)
Typo/syntax error in the URL
DNS Server problem (in which case you should try again later)

This has been happening since I installed BFilter. It only happens with some websites. And it happens even when I bypass the filter..?
It happens with big websites that shouldn't be down like facebook and goodreads etc.
Any Ideas?!

RE: "The requested URL could not be retrieved"
Hi,

The only idea that comes to my mind is as follows:
Your normal internet connection is supposed to work through a proxy, but BFilter is not configured to use a remote proxy. The proxyless connection from your ISP kind of works as well, but is flaky.
In this case, the solution is to configure BFilter to use your ISPs remote proxy. Unfortunately I can't give more specific instructions, as I am not using BFilter for quite some time. Its development stopped as well.
