eDexter, Homer, Blackhole Proxy ...etc
Are there any benefits in specifically choosing any one of these? Is any one faster, take less resources, better? Are they still a good idea when using a HOSTS file?

WMP Wrote:Are they still a good idea when using a HOSTS file?FWIW, when I use a HOSTS file I use a blackhole but I don't know if I really need it. The old Netscape would stall when using a HOSTS file without a blackhole. I don't know if the current browsers have this problem. Can't offer any advice as to which one. eDexter worked for me but all I ever used it for was serving an image. I've an old copy of the Blackhole Proxy. Never used Homer. HTH |
