If I check my email while prox is running my incoming mail(POP3) address is changed to "localhost" and my username is changed to "username"/mail.(my ISP address) anyone have any ideas why? Running IE 5.5 no SP2 but security updates..

What antivirus are you running? This sounds like something that Norton, for one, used to do. The new 2002 scans the email port itself, but the ones before that didn't. They changed the settings for the email client to something like what you described. I have just started running Proxo myself, so I am not as up to speed on it as alot of the others that are here, but I don't see how it could change the settings for OE. It is listening on port 8080. The ports that OE uses are 110 and 25 for email, not for sure this is all of them. It uses 119, I think, for newsgroups. Maybe some others will have more info for you.

Proxo won't change anything on the system at all unless you use the installer package, which I never have.  So in my experience, Proxo doesn't alter anything.  I concur, if you are using Norton, that may have changed your OE settings automatically.
