Proxomitron Beta Page

Welcome to Proxomitron's no-nonsense beta page (well, less nonsense at least). Here you can download the latest "experimental" version of the program. In the past I've usually limited the distribution of betas to prevent unfinished (and possibly buggy) versions of Proxomitron from floating around the net, but since development has been slow and often I've already implemented features people may find useful, I've decided to make the betas available to everyone.

The current beta is Naoko-4 BetaOne. This is the secod beta in the series a good deal of functionality over the current official release. It's also fairly stable by now. However, keep in mind that this IS beta software and is likely to have more problems than the current release.

Although true for all versions of Proxomitron, with beta versions it's especially important to understand this software is released as is with absolutely no guarantees of any kind. USE IT AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Also the beta releases don't come with the full set of goodies the full release does. It's recommended that you download the current version first, install it, make a copy of it's folder, then copy the beta files over-top that. This way you not only get all the supplemental files, but can run both version of the program.

Anyway, If I haven't frightened you off yet here's where you can download the current beta...

My thanks to Terry May for providing a file mirror of BetaZero.

Here's the ReadMe file from the current beta. This should list the most important features, but keep in mind it's fairly minimalistic and is usually limited to the most essential information.
