Ad Tech == Surveillance Capitalism and…
My understanding is that regular citizens have two major enemies: the state and companies. Big companies literally suck us dry to the point we slowly become brainless thanks to, among other things, our inability to refrain ourselves from frenetically tapping and swiping everywhere on our tablet. Every corporation is against us, in so far as acting against our mental health; mainstream propaganda medias with their overstated headlines that trigger our limbic system for the sole purpose of attracting ad revenues by way of total privacy invasion of our life as well as maintaining us in total ignorance about the real facts underlying the dynamics of our world today.
We, citizen, are just what corporates (and especially banks!) and politics want us to be: a cash cow for those who look down on us from their fabulous h(e)avens on earth. For citizens to become a good cash cow, the state and corporates must know a great deal of (intimate) details about us: database cross-referencing from any collectable sources has never been so much easier. We even buy “cool†devices in order to get ripped off beautifully: IoTs and its myriad of security-related issues, by the way!
One last thing: today, it is so easy and so cheap for someone to access our cultural heritage, and yet most of us will end up remaining completely brainwashed and a bottomless ad repository until the last breath thanks to our “loyalty to brandsâ€, viewing of debilitating shows, loving of movie stars that like to experience how it's like to be an ordinary guy, etc. Anyway, you get my point!
Enjoy my humble contributions. |
