Showing edit info with posts ?

Hi,

What I really miss, especially in the Proxo filters forums, is some
"Edited by xxx at 23h11h59s, Edited xx times in total"
below the posts when they have been edited/corrected.

This would make it much easier for users keeping up with the latest filters/info.

It's a good idea, but for my posts would be worst for the same reason i don't like to see signatures from people. My bad english, my perfeccionism and myself use to edit all the post a few times in the next 10 minutes after posting. When i edit something important i write "edit:" at the bottom.

If Kye-U decides to implement it, i would prefer to NOT show how many times i edited my posts (are many). Anyway if it shows only the last edit date for me it's ok. Just my thoughts

agreed... i'm the same way... may edit a post three or four times before i'm "satisfied" with the content...

if there's some way to add the edit info only AFTER the post has been sitting there for a while (15 minutes?), that would seem to satisfy both ends of the spectrum...

PR, lot better, but for example i wrote "wrete" in my above post, now i changed it to "write" two hours later. As our post don't use to get answered too soon i would vote for an "afternoon" of respect (4-6 hours) if that gets implemented.

Once there's a follow-up, i'd prefer a forum generated "last edited..." line, too, also because i've seen a few posts where a reply didn't fit entirely any more, because former have been edited silently...

We had originally disabled this setting (I forgot the reason why); the above points have led me to enabling the setting again! Thanks for your feedback

i noticed your "last modified" was placed *BEFORE* there were any posts posted AFTER your post...

Kye-U, i'm thinking it got removed initially when we were trying to think up a way for members to be able to post, proofread that post, edit that post, resubmit...

if proofread/resubmit was all done *BEFORE* a follow-up post has been posted, the discussion at the time was whether the edit info needs to be placed if it was just because of a "oops" proofread edit...

but like sidki pointed out, there are times when things happen so FAST that a reply is being posted "while" that proofread resubmit is being edited...


soo... not sure where that leads us...
