That particular RFC doesn't seem to bring much to the table, very few HTTP servers are bothering with it.

I think you mean the login page at http://prxbx.com/wp-login.php linked from the main page. That one has a 'Remember Me' option but the form doesn't POST to the same place. It won't accept my Id / Pwd, keeps saying "ERROR: Invalid username." Apparently it's not applicable for logging in as a forum member, maybe it's for logging in as an admin.

It's great that some browsers are now acknowledging that privacy issues exist with cookies and are giving users some tools to manage that. It would be terrific if browsers Defaulted to throwing away all cookies on exit except those few that a user asked to remain.
