RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
Hello,
I just wandered along and saw this topic about Yahoo webmail. To throw in my experience; it all seems fine to me. I assume this Yahoo trouble some people are having is geo-specific ... ? In case relevant or useful, here is a test procedure I've just done using Firefox 3.0.8: Loaded sidki_2009-02-13.ptron (pathing HTTP and SSL through it) To be able to browse to login.yahoo.com, I have to either make a certificate exception in Firefox for that url, or, turn on Header Filter ! |||||||||||| 2.2 Use Half-SSL 5.01.12 [jjoe] (o.2) (Out) Loading login.yahoo.com takes me to http://https-px-.login.yahoo.com/config/login_verify2? Logging in there then lands me at http://my.yahoo.com/ or http://home.bt.yahoo.com/ Clicking on the Mail link (http://uk.mail.yahoo.com/) typically lands me at http://uk.mc865.mail.yahoo.com/mc/ ... etc where everything appears to me to be working fine. (I don't go through all that procedure in normal usage; I use sidki_2009-02-13 in Light Mode overall and merge in and use JJoe's YLogin v2 script/config from the Yahoo Prox group, but I land at the same destination) One little section, however, has been missing for me from the very top of most logged-in Yahoo pages for a long time. I did attempt to look into it once with some help from here, with some success, but essentially I grew to tolerate not having it. It is the greyish bar which includes Sign Out and a few other Yahoo links. Lee UK |
