RE: Setting up Tor with Privoxy and Proxomitron
"Switches back" when?
Have you added the proxy settings to user.js? That could cause it to switch back when the browser is started. boilz4 Wrote:What next? All I know to say is browser>>The Proxomitron(8080)>>Privoxy(8118)>>Tor(9050) They all must be running, of course. BFilter can be used instead of Privoxy. You can drop the second proxy by using something like FreeCap. To debug, Start Tor. Tor must indicate "Looks like client functionality is working." Open the Proxomitron's Log window. Open Privoxy's Log window. Try loading Google. The Proxomitron's Log window should show activity and the use of Privoxy. Privoxy also has a Log window. It should show the request. If you see activity in all the Logs and it doesn't work, I'd suspect a problem with Tor or the network. Tor can take forever. It hasn't always worked for me. I've read that some sites block Tor. ISPs could also. Luck |
