RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
ah, i follow...
at least things are working for you... if you bump into anything else yahoo-related, let me know... ideally, we want yahoo working with sidki's out-of-box and not with including any "extras"... |

It seems to have fixed my Yahoo mail problem for now but I don't fully understand what was done or how it was fixed.duffy98, if you are having diffculty applying the various fixes, I suggest you pm me with your email address. I'll send you my 'fixed' IncludeExclude.ptxt file. Try it to see if it works for you (without andrew's filter set). As ProxRocks said, it is better to have a fix that works with the vanilla sidki config (without any 'extras')

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
ProxRocks ... soccerfan,
thanks for the reply ... I took off the Andrew Filter set this morning from the Sidki current config set. After I posted my last post with the Yahoo mail explanation, I got to thinking that I really want to keep the Sidki config set like I have always had it ... pure Sidki and that is what you both later posted that I just now read. After I did take the Andrew Filter set out of Proxomitron folder I went back online to test Yahoo mail and it was hanging for me again. I will be in touch with you soccerfan after I post this to get your Yahoo mail fix. That's the route I want to go, I also had a few minor problems with the Andrew Filter set with some other web pages, it really seems to filter everything but I am only having a problem with Yahoo mail at this time. thanks ... |

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
I still have problem with Yahoo mail.
I've applied the fix: in IncludeExclude.ptxt file I've replaced Code: [^/]++.mail.yahoo.com/ $SET(0=a_rdlink.a_jsmeth.)Code: [^/]++.mail.yahoo.com/ $SET(0=a_rdlink.a_jsmeth.a_redir.)When I try to Forward message I've got to page with title: "Compose Mail - Yahoo Mail" and with "Send" button. There is no reaction on clicking on that button at all. May be it will help - additionally at the bottom of the page I see those messages: Quote:• code • site • cookies • JS Error: 'YAHOO.ads.renderer' is null or not an object • JS Error: 'YAHOO.mc.page.pim' is null or not an object • JS Error: 'YAHOO.mc.page' is null or not an object • JS Error: 'YAHOO.mc.page.compose' is null or not an object • JS Error: 'YAHOO.mc.page' is null or not an object • JS Error: 'YAHOO.mc.page.generic' is null or not an object I'm using IE7. |

Yahoo-01.png (Size: 20.14 KB / Downloads: 804)
1-st was taken without the line Yahoo-02.png (Size: 22.55 KB / Downloads: 759)
and the 2-nd one when the line is added. It's not a big deal, but I think it can be fixed. |

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
Hello,
Just to throw in my experience; I've found recently that I too was getting 'nowhere' after logging into Yahoo webmail and clicking on the mail folders, for example. Sidki's fix in Post: #34 of this topic has indeed fixed it for me. I've just tested and and am not finding the problem mentioned in Post: #51 regarding trying to do a 'forward' and hitting 'send' doing nothing, in either IE8 or Firefox 3. Maybe my general config setup is avoiding this issue; I am in Sidki Standard Mode but am allowing a few things which the default config has off by default. Lee UK |

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
i am totally clueless as to a fix on yahoo mail...
and to top that off, yahoo keeps asking me for a mobile phone number when i log in - what the Hell? am i the only person on the planet that does NOT have a phone, mobile or otherwise? so i try to plug in a "fake" phone number and it KNOWS it is "fake" so it asks for another number... i do NOT have a phone, be it land line, cell, mobile, or whatever else is out there... i will NOT be getting a phone just to keep my yahoo home page, that's for DAMN sure!!! |

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
Sorry to hear that. I do not have any mobile number associated with my mail Yahoo account. And it never asked me to provide a phone number at login time.
Try to contact to Yahoo and ask how to reset it. If you can't login to your account - check this page for some help: Yahoo! Sign-in and Registration |

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
The yahoo email saga continues
![]() I just noticed that I cannot download/save any attachments (had not tried this before, so could be an ongoing problem). If I click on an attachment, I see the message "No virus thread detected.." with the link to click for downloading but then I simply get kicked right out of yahoo mail into main yahoo page (but still logged in) This also happens with sidki's new alpha config. Are others seeing this too? soccerfan |

RE: Yahoo mail acting weird
soccerfan,
I was able to download the Yahoo Mail fix that you e-mailed as an attachment to me a few days ago. I had no problem and then I used your Yahoo Mail fix. All went OK for that. Just yesterday I took that fix off and went with the Sidki 2009-05-24 Alpha download to try it out, since ProxRocks said that the Sidki Alpha also fixed the Yahoo Mail problem. Everything is working great for me at this time with the Alpha update on my computer. duffy98 |
