[req] Filtering large blocks
I've fiddled for 2 hours now and can't get it so figured I might just ask if it's possible and someone who knows how can do it quickly.

Basically, I want to filter from one point, to another removing anything inbetween. I don't know if there is a wildcard for anything inbetween though.

But from this:
PHP Code:

    <
tr>
        <
td valign="middle" class="row2" width="[color=#FF0000]1%[/color]">

            <
a name="[color=#FF0000]entry3370322[/color]">

                <
div id="[color=#FF0000]post-member-3370322[/color]" class='popmenubutton-new-out'>
                    <
span class="normalname">
    <
img src='[color=#FF0000]www.site.com/image.png[/color]' alt='' border='0' />[color=#FF0000]user[/color]

</div

and end here:

PHP Code:
topic_init_ignored_post'[color=#FF0000]3370322[/color]' );
//

The red bits need to be wildcarded, except the first 3370322 needs to go into memory and then be read for the other bits.

I kept getting stuck at the image part in the start section, but even if I got that I don't know how to wildcard multiple lines. There are about 50-60 lines inbetween the two so if it can't be done with wildcards I'll just forget about it.

Thanks!

You could capture the first 3370322 into \1 and then use $TST(\1) to match it for the left bits.

You can use \w better than * as they doesn't have blank spaces
