I've captured above URL from a confirm box, inserted as debug code in the menu script.
Also keep in mind, it does work in Firefox and Opera 9.

Do you have any clue why the \4 won't capture the full url which your confirm box prompted?

It seems IE is always a trouble maker. Let's wait and see how IE8 will behave.

This makes sense if you consider that the anchor is designed to position the
browser at a particular point in a page - then there is no point in passing
