RE: proxcert.pem expired?
I'll chip in, if only to help confuse things....
A few days ago IE started hiccoughing at me about Proxo's certificate when in SSL mode. I merely d/l'ed JJoe's file above, copied over the top of the old .pem file in the Proxo directory, and I was back up in business - thanks JJoe. But this is the first time I've used someone else's certificate - in the past I've always rolled my own with sidki's generator - thanks, sidki. In both cases, whenever IE barks at me, I merely re-link to the site (and store it thusly in my Favorites) as hteeteep://https..abc.xyz.com. At this point, no site I visit regularly causes me any heartburn, and that's a good thing. FWIW, of course. Oddysey I'm no longer in the rat race - the rats won't have me! |

RE: proxcert.pem expired?
Here a something funny! At work they let me play with $80,000 network device that can perform man in the middle attacks and router/firewall/deep packet inspection etc. After a while i said to the guy man my free program proxomitron can do man in the middle attacks as well!

RE: proxcert.pem expired?
Seems a bit strange to me....
This year, 2010, I used the time-honored method of generating my own cert from sidki's batch file method. Installed it per his instructions, and Voila!, I was in business. It wasn't necessary to copy over a file from someone else, as I had to do last year. And people wonder why I'm bald! Oddysey I'm no longer in the rat race - the rats won't have me! |

RE: proxcert.pem expired?
Why not make it valid for longer time, say 10 years?
