Direct jump to chained URL
I spent some time trying to write a filter to directly jump to the active URL, without result, as I am definitely NOT a good programmer:

Link = http://www.peachy18.com/cgi-bin/atx/out...._duhe_128/

where instead I'd like to directly jump to:

http://www.yourdailygirls.com/galleries/kara_duhe_128/

For now, I must strip it off by hand on each new tab & it's getting boring.

The first part (http://www.peachy18.com/cgi-bin/atx/out....rl&s=75&u=) is ALWAYS the same for all the thumbnails links in their pages.

Could somebody help me. I tried this, which doen't strip anything from the url:
Code:
In = FALSE
Out = TRUE
Key = "!URL Killer: Clean peachy18 long url 100817 [jp] (Out) ===="
URL = "www.peachy18.com"
Match = "/cgi-bin/atx/out.cgi?c=1&l=girl&s=75&u=\1\2"
Replace = "\2 $ALERT(touched!)"

It's touched whithout the Match line, but no more with it. I have no other idea for the moment. Please help.
Thanks.

RE: Direct jump to chained URL
Hi fpout,

AFAIK the default Sidki filterset already does exactly what you need, it's this particular filter :
<a>: URL Untangler 09.01.07 (multi) [gz sd] (d.2 l.3)
...which takes care of those linking urls.

When I hover over your example url, I can see the delinked destination in the statusbar of my browser (firefox) : http://www.yourdailygirls.com/galleries/kara_duhe_128/

There should appear a "Tracking Link" above your link when you hover over it, clicking that "Tracking Link" will get you to the "full" url :
( http://www.peachy18.com/cgi-bin/atx/out...._duhe_128/ )

Please check that this particular filter is ENABLED and you should have no problems with it.

RE: Direct jump to chained URL
I see what Toppy sees.

However, something like

Code:
[HTTP headers]
In = FALSE
Out = TRUE
Key = "! : JUMP: Clean peachy18 long url 100818 (Out)"
URL = "www.peachy18.com/cgi-bin/atx/out.cgi\?c=1\&l=girl\&s=75\&u=\1&$JUMP(\1)"

should do.

HTH

RE: Direct jump to chained URL
Back here after a few days away. Thanks for you answers.

To TOPPY: Thanks for your help, Toppy. Yes my untangler is ON all the time. And you're right, as, in fact, the untangler effectively does the trick for me too on the link as WRITTEN above, and leads me directly to the real URL. I did formulate my question in a wrong way, it doesn't work on the page from which the link comes from:

The problem is: it doesn't work on the links which are BEHIND the thumbnails on the main page, for example

http://peachy18.com/teen/maile/10413/

- Here the untangler is NOT triggered.

If I click on a thumbnail of such a page, it leads me to a blank page with ? URL like : http://www.peachy18.com/cgi-bin/atx/out....oliomaile/ as the one in my first post, and I must clean the url box manually to go to the real page.

Here is the code behind a typical thumbnail:

Code:
<area alt="12/17/2008 10:01:00 AM" target="0" href="http://www.peachy18.com/cgi-bin/atx/out.cgi?c=1&amp;l=girl&amp;s=75&amp;u=http://galleries6.petiteteenager.com/8/girlfoliomaile/" coords="0,0,122,162" shape="rect"/>

Anyhow, I don't understand WHY the untangler DOESN'T WORK in this case !

RE: Direct jump to chained URL
Hello JJoe, thanks a lot.

Your filter does the trick perfectly ... as usual !

Long urls are still not shortened (as seen in the status bar), but clicking on a thumbnail leads directly to the real url.

I had problems with Prox syntax, which is a little too rigorous for me!

I'll now be able to use it on other sites using long urls.

Thanks again for your help.

The generic untangler isn't enabled for area tags.
Reasons: flyover with original link usually doesn't work; rare matches (yet); would require long-term testing.

RE: Direct jump to chained URL
Hello Sidki, thanks for the wonderful work you achieve with Proxo.

Glad to understand why that happened, and JJoe's solution is a very neat workout for the (very few) sites throwing this problem.
It can be easily converted to any other site.
Really no need to go further, indeed.

Regards.
