Adapting proxo 4.5 to the latest OpenSSL DLLs

RE: Adapting proxo 4.5 to the latest OpenSSL DLLs
I've tried several copies of both versions under multiple names in 3 different folders. The results are the same no matter what I name them. This is minor as I only use that instance with Tor. If it would help, I can attach DW profiling logs for both versions.

The "direct connection" instance is working very well so far. The only issue is described in post 62. It's consistent across sites using cdn's and HTTPs. No issues using the last Sidki filterset merged with ProxBlox. Overall, it seems slightly faster than the original version.

Hmmm, looks like I did it. I was looking at splitting this thread. So I copied it to another forum and experimented.

Kye-U should be able to fix it with a recount. Before I ask would you like the thread split?

The checksums in post #35 need to be updated to reflect the applied bug fix from post #38.

(sorry for the off-topic post, but I've done a full recount)

Sorry for long delay, I am very busy with other things and Proxo is working fine for me so I forgot about this completely... no new 1.0.1 OpenSSL DLLs either.

You can make a patcher if you want, I might never get around to it.

Don't worry. Belarathon and others have patched their EXEs. Smile!

I'll get some patchers posted.

Thanks

I have, and no issues that I can see, except that it won't work with Amy's SSL dlls. I mean it will load them, but won't actually work. It could be something I'm doing wrong.

Anyway, thanks Joe!

Can the patch that was posted earlier, then removed be shared?

Thank you for your patches, but how should I apply them? Please use fc.exe - it's output is easily modified into a common crk format, for which there is automatic patchers (google "crk xck"): "fc.exe /b oldfile newfile > file.cmp"

I converted your patch to crk

Only the patcher and ReadMe have changed. The patched Proxomitron exe will be the same as the last patcher created.

Still, those who used the first patcher could check this one for errors...

The DLLs in the above post aren't working for me. The ones from post #35 are working. Anyone else having this problem?
