faulty patches ???

it seems that the PATCHED versions of Proxo are going to here instead

ht-tp://https-px-.www.youtube.com/embed/PJv8sY2CxZA
ie, it's trying to half-ssl even though Proxo is being BYPASSED

I don't see it but I could make it happen.
Proxomitron always executes some commands in the "Bypass URLs that match this expression" field.

Hoping that your patched exe has its own folder...
Do you have a $RDIR or $JUMP in a list that is called from the Proxomitron's "Bypass URLs that match this expression" field? If so, the log window may show the redirect but not the list match because the match may have been negated to prevent an actual bypass. You'll need to check the field and referenced lists.

Otherwise... which patches are you using?

if i CLEAR OUT the "Bypass URLs that match this expression" field, it STILL trys to half-ssl even with Proxo in BYPASS...

seems to only be with 64bit systems...
and doesn't seem to be related to patches afterall...

so the question becomes - how do we PREVENT this behavior in 64bit Win7 ???

though 32bit WinXP isn't really out of the woods though, the YouTube /embed/ video still doesn't "play" even though it isn't trying to half-ssl...

http://https-px-.www.youtube.com/embed/PJv8sY2CxZA. I have to type the full address or clear browser data to get
https://www.youtube.com/embed/PJv8sY2CxZA .

So it may be a browser issue?

I see flash at YouTube but I have read that some are seeing HTML5. So...

The YouTube /embed/ video did play for me on a 32bit WinXP Pro machine this afternoon. The machine needs to be updated and retested tho.

I haven't been able to get it to play while using half-SSL on any machine.
I suspect a cookie problem or broken script or mixed content error due to "https-px-." but that seems OK so far. There is an obfuscated script and flash can be odd, however.

It does play while filtering https without half-SSL.

That URL works fine for me unbypassed and video plays after clicking through few SSL warnings. XP 32-bit, Proxomitron with only my SSL patch applied.

bingo, "AFTER CLICKING THROUGH A FEW SSL WARNINGS"...

half-ssl "solves" the d@mn pos ssl warnings, but half-ssl does not work on YouTube

The problem is with browser then - you should be able to configure it to not show those warnings and let you through. Maybe some patching is required too.

if Proxo is in BYPASS then there should be ZERO reasons for the browser to "find-and-insert" the https-px-. portion to any URL...

i should add that while YouTube is what i've been focusing on trying to fix, the issues have happened with other sites also, such as Gmail for example...

i've been able to get Gmail to work by *NOT* using the updated SSL .dll's (by not having Proxo use any ssl .dll's, old or new)...
i still *filter* Gmail because it's half-ssl...


the BEST "patch" for SSL still very much so seems to be the half-ssl route and *NOT* the "let's fix our ssl .dll library files"...

And yet at least my Opera does I haven't checked other browsers.

Edit: Haven't checked Opera since I updated tho. So maybe they fixed it.

Not to rub it in but I haven't used half-ssl for many months.
The last certificate related alert I saw was from the Proxomitron for an ad at yahoo, which I denied.
