searching for compiled openssl .dlls working with proxomitronreborn
hi all,
and hi old friends,
i've just downloaded proxomitron reborn and i'm enthusiastic of the wonderful work you made. i've read years ago of the work in progress but i wouldn't imagine that the new one could be as good as the scott's one (in respect to scott, i can't say it is better, sorry).

so, i've started to use it from yesterday (rel. 4.7.0.1), but i'm not able to have it working with old ssleay/libeay and neither with current openssl. i've searched the forum first, but haven't found the right info's.

please, tell me what .dlls i have to use and where i can find the compiled ones.

Try
https://prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2179&pid=18693#pid18693
which is linked to from https://prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2331&pid=19290#pid19290

You will also need to create the cert and add it to the browser's store.
From the main dialog>>Config>>HTTPS>>Certificate Generation and Installation

Got to go.
Have fun. Wink

RE: searching for compiled openssl .dlls working with proxomitronreborn
hi jjoe,
thanks a lot for the informations. i had seen that post but not followed the info's because i've intended it was for naoko 4.5.

anyway, now i have openssl 1.0.1q installed in proxo folder. the problem now is that the certificate i've generated (but it's the same for the linked cacert.pem renamed as certs.pem and as proxocert.pem) cannot be installed in the browser's store and i don't know why.

i use firefox 115.16.0esr (64 bit) on win7pro (64 bit).

i have the italian localization of firefox so i don't if in english the path is this: tools/settings/privacy & security/certificates/security devices/load

when i click the load button i can create a name for the new certificate and insert the path, but when i click the ok button firefox says it doesn't load it.

any suggestions?

RE: searching for compiled openssl .dlls working with proxomitronreborn
Did you try installing proxcert_certonly.pem? I'll guess your firefox esr doesn't like the PRIVATE KEY section of proxcert.pem.

I think the files that I am using are in "certificates.zip", see https://www.prxbx.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=2331&pid=20945#pid20945 and following posts.

You will also need to add the files in Proxo_OpenSSL_309_libcrypto.7z.zip and Proxo_OpenSSL_309_libssl.7z.zip to the Proxomitron Reborn folder.
