About WindizUpdate This free website allows users of Mozilla Firefox 0.9.3, Netscape 4.0, Mozilla Firebird 0.7 or Opera 5, to keep their copy of Windows up-to-date. Newer releases of these browsers are also suitable. To use this site, you'll need to install the free plugin. If you're running Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 or Windows XP you'll need to have the latest service pack installed (SP6a for NT4, SP4 for W2K, SP2 for XP) -- this is solely because we have not added any of the earlier critical updates or patches to the database. Works fine with Firefox 1.0.2 ![]() |

All I got was a blank page at that URL. The code there does not do anything visible. What free plugin is one supposed to use?
I guess that this update service does not include Windows 98? |

Why not just use IE to update?
But then again I use IE most of the time anyway. |

Aside from the fact that you are "trusting" an OS update from a third-party vendor in no way affiliated with the OEM of the OS?
You'd be better off servicing your Honda at an Oldsmobile dealership... edit: Or for a better analogy, how 'bout downloading your next Firefox release from: http://this-domain-owned-by-microsoft/ms-fox.html... edit2: ps - I use Sleipnir, which is an IE "shell"... it has the option to use the Gekko engine INSTEAD of IE... which "used to be" my default... BUT since here lately there have been MORE fully-patched 'dead fox' security-related "outbreaks" then with fully-patched IE, I've "axed" even the Gekko... |
