Opera layout...
I've basically been delaying my full conversion to Opera Browser for ONE reason (a few actually, but this one is "major" in my eyes)...

Call it trivial, but is there ANY way to get the row of tabs to be placed BELOW the address/search row?

I have mine at the bottom of the screen . Check tools >Appearance>Toolbars . Click on tab bar and look below for placement window and choose . HTH Smile! Regards

RE: Opera layout...
hmm, guess i'll keep opera as my BBB (back burner browser)...

and wait for the day that opera's toolbars can be dragged and dropped to where we want them instead of selected from a list of locales (of which none fit my preference)...

Smile! I think you 'll like it after playing around with it for awhile . Look at some custom skins and buttons over at : http://operawiki.info/CustomButtons#navigation

RE: Opera layout...
scratch that...

F8 (address bar focus) and Shift-F8 (search bar focus) do NOT work unless a tab is open...
and i highly prefer the "allow window with NO tabs" option...

that alone is a HUGE downfall - i cannot open my browser (which i do via keyboard hotkeys, not via mouse) and run STRAIGHT to the F8/Shift-F8 (my hands are ALREADY at the keyboard, NOT the mouse)...

in that the search bar width cannot be adjusted is yet another pitfall...
