Questions and Answers / De Proxomitron/Privoxy Daisy Chain
« on: August 11, 2002, 06:08:23 PM »
Has anyone tried to daisy chain Proxomitron with Privoxy?
I have both installed but had never had taken the time out to actually daisy chain another app alongside Proxo. Which is the best approach, ie.. what are the actual port setting for browswer/proxo/privoxy?

Thank you.

Hello Bes, the only answer that I can offer right now is to check out this link for it is directly related to both Kerio and Proxomitron. Pay "very close" attention to gwion for he is truly a Kerio/Tiny Guru, and then some.

Block List Files / Blockfile for "Kill Applet Object"
« on: July 08, 2002, 04:59:19 AM »
Hmmm.. alto you never cease to amaze me my friend, and I thought I was going crazy here.

quote:
anyway, you will soon be able to write your own filters yourself, right?
Yes I plan on learning more, as I am mentally alert and have the time to do just that. Even Scott had forewarned me about getting myself confused by going overboard while trying to do to much at once. He had suggested that I read the helps and learn to utilize the tools found within Proxomitron itself. Unfortunately, my job is physically demanding and I am neither fully alert, nor have I had the time to when I am. But, I do know where to go when I need the help.
Thank you.

I didn't see that. Thanks. I thought you were using Internet Explorer? How long have you been using Mozilla? Isn't your filter set IE optimized, or both are fine "Out of the Box"?

Block List Files / Blockfile for "Kill Applet Object"
« on: July 07, 2002, 07:16:41 PM »
Hello alto/reversi...

This is too simple. I must do some more studying!!!

Thank you, and by the way - If I were to have the header filter:

In = FALSE
Out = TRUE
Key = "URL-Killer: Kill script URL exploits (Out)"
URL = "*<(script|object|applet)*"
Replace = "Script killedk"
 activated at the same time as the web filter above will it interfere?

Thank you my friend!

Block List Files / Blockfile for "Kill Applet Object"
« on: July 07, 2002, 06:18:24 PM »
Name = "Kill Applet/Object"
Active = TRUE
URL = "$TYPE(htm)"
Bounds = "<applets*</applet>|<object*</object>"
Limit = 8192
Match = "*"
Replace = "<center><font size=1 color=red>[Applet/Object killed]</font></center>"

Can someone re-create this filter that I may use a blockfile as an "exceptions list"? I would like to keep this "web filter" active, and just use a blockfile for sites that I want to allow.

Thank you,

-cj.- :)

Privacy / Possible Cookie Proxy Perl Script?
« on: June 23, 2002, 11:36:48 AM »

Okay I had found this while closing up shop for the night, and I thought that it may be somewhat useful for Proxo. It is a Perl script/proxy server, so... I am unable to create any filters out of it's contents.

Will this script be Proxo user friendly somehow? Thanks much!

altosax..
I was wondering if you can tell me why I am getting this error when I load the webpage http://www.bitdefender.com/virusi/virusi_descrieri.php?virus_id=1

    There appears to be an error with this layer:
    Frame: object
    Layer:0divoCMenu1b

It appears the be attributed to the Tame Javascript 1 [vm version] filter.
If I disable it I don't get the error.

I am using IE 6.

Thanks.

Scott I just came back to this thread as I have read it days ago.

I too have received a BSOD on my W2K Pro which is a very stable install, and as I had rembered the Kerio usage as the cause I couldn't help but notice that this particular "Stop error" message referred to the "fwdsys.drv": which of course is Kerio.

I was in the midst of a redir and http://www.newsnow.co.uk when it had occured.
I shall keep an eye out again and come back an note any further details. Please note that I have had Kerio ver 2.1.2 running without a hitch since it's install, and yes I am aware of the upgrade now available.

Your filter for adblocker and dumbsites are working just great, as this site is being filtered correctly without a hitch.

Thanks I just "disabled" the "Cookie: Reply No Ad Blocker (out)" filter and it loaded right up..

Hmmm... You have something in your bypasslist? I didn't look at it for I kept my old one apon installing your set. Oh - okay I found what you were referring to, and I once had that entry in my bypasslist, and I must of removed it a while back out of a dire sense of complete frustration...

Thanks once again, so far it is rocking hard your set it is..

Hey alto:

Just wondering if you can tell me how to get around this site with you filter set?

http://www.phpbuddy.com

I have entered the site to my allowcookie list, and the adbuster.txt, and I just can not get around it?

Do you have any ideas? I am trying to figure out this adblocker work-a-round that has been discussed on these boards most recently.

Thanks in advance,

-cj.-
