Microsoft Help / IE bypassing proxy on 1st connect :-(
« on: July 10, 2002, 05:46:19 AM »
Does anyone else have this problem. I have my browser (IE6) configured to use
127.0.0.1:8080 as the proxy (Proxomitron). But EVERY FIRST page I tr to visit after I connect to the internet, my Firewall (Kerio) pops up a message "Internet Explorer wants to connect to xx.xx.xx.xx).

Is this normal, and how can I make IE stop to do that ?

Feature-Block / Kill Java Applets
« on: July 06, 2002, 05:41:36 AM »
Hi Arne,

I've been trying you script, and it works great, except
on www.wimbledon.com

If you click the button "Launch the Real-Time Scoreboard" near the top-right of the page, java does get initialised, allthough my AllowJava-list is empty, so ALL java applets/objects should be stopped ?

What can be the problem ? I've been looking in the source, and found this :

document.writeln('<applet code="TestGryphon.class" codebase="/ibmrealtime/" width="1" height="1" archive="TestGryphon.jar">');
if(valuein!="")
document.writeln('<param name="query" value="'+valuein+'">');
document.writeln('</applet>');

Could the document.writeln stuff be the reason why the filter doesn't work ?

Thanks in advance

Jor,

here's the URL http://www.pcpitstop.com/pcpitstop/pitstop.asp

after pushing the 'Test Anonymously' button, and click "Let's Go" some window will pop up, and if you allow it, a full system diagnose will be done

During the tests, you can see it "posting" lots of details about your system. I just want to change some values that get send to the server

« on: June 19, 2002, 07:15:29 PM »
Thanks Jor, unfortunately this doesn't work on it.
the site (pcpitstop) runs some activeX system scanning tool, and then sends
the results, I can see what's send using the proxomitron logfile under "Posting xxx bytes....."

Some things that get posted are:

DiskC=8.2Gb
DiskCfree=1.7Gb
InstalledRam=256Mb

I would like to alter these so that I have more free space on C than the max size, and have 28Gb of memory for example

So, there is no option to "check for" and "replace" those things that get posted ?

Hi, I have a rather dumb question, but how can I alter data that shows as posted in the proxomitron log window.

For example : I see there

bblablablabla
URL: www.website.com/blablablabla.asp

Posting 321 bytes
VideoResolution=1024x768
Colors=32bit
blablablabla

I don't know where to create a filter for altering this data, should this be a pattern-filter or a header filter ? And how can I then check & alter data ?

Thanks very much for your always positive responses.

P.S. The reason for this question is that I want some good laugh when some script is sending my systemstats at www.pcpitstop.com

...so you can spoof your IP with someone else's on a security-scan site, and then see what ports *they* have open ?

Well, the problem here is, that the script may only be added if a specific button is found (which isn't always the case :)

« on: June 15, 2002, 08:41:28 PM »
Well, this is the filter I use :

----
Name = "MoneyBalls - Click MyFavorites"
Active = TRUE
Multi = TRUE
URL = "moneyballs.com"
Bounds = "<input * >"
Limit = 17240
Match = "<input type="button" value="My favorites" onClick="fillballs()">"
Replace = "<input type="button" value="My favorites" onClick="fillballs()">
"
          "<script language="JavaScript"> setTimeout('fillballs()',2000);
</script>"
          "<script language="JavaScript"> setTimeout('document.ticket.submit()',5000); </script>
"
          "$STOP()"
----
The first part (setTimout ('fillballs......) is working perfectly.
but 5 secs later, when the setTimout ('document.ticket.submit....) part is started, the error pops up.

I'm using IE 6.0

P.S. This is the first line of the form :

<form action="http://moneyballs.com/cgi-bin/lotto/lotto.pl" method="POST" name="ticket" target="_self" onsubmit="return checkpicks()">

Well, When trying this filter on my page, I get a javascript error saying :

Error : Object doesn't support this property or method.
Code : 0

What could be the problem then ?
