Questions and Answers / DSL prevents any proxy applications

Strange thing:
Only when using DSL connection no more any proxy settings are working - even if there is crap entered one can connect web sites.
After searching for a while the internet for a solution to get proxomitron or similar applications running I gave up....
Actually this problem should not be related to wrong connection settings - cause I deleted every Dial-up connection - I thought only LAN settings would determine the proxy behaviour. After disconnecting from the DSL provider with still active browser running the log window of proxomitrion displays usual activities.
Any ideas?
