Questions and Answers / Flash Animation Killer
« on: August 24, 2002, 12:11:48 AM »
Hiya seeker1,

The code that's calling the flash animation, is in a JS file. So, change "$TYPE(htm)" to "($TYPE(htm)|$TYPE(js))".

Hiya gEEksteR,

With my current config, that's not possible without quite a bit of work... My next update, should come close to what you want. I'll see if I can get it to what your asking for.

Questions and Answers / images after HTML

Hi TEggHead,

Thx for trying. However, like Jor said, this appears to be an Opera problem. Probably the same reason the ACR ad toggle doesn't work.

Again, thx for trying.

Try these.. A bit faster..

Name = "Kill Google Adwords I"
Active = TRUE
URL = "[^/]++.google.*/"
Bounds = "<tables*</table>"
Limit = 2048
Match = "*(sponsoredslink(s|)|Interest:s<img)*"

Name = "Kill Google Adwords II"
Active = TRUE
URL = "[^/]++.google.*/"
Bounds = "$NEST(<as,</a>)"
Limit = 300
Match = "*shref=$AV(http://*adwords.google.*)*"
Replace = "<!-- ad -->$STOP()"

I've brought it back down to 8/10. On most pages, above 8/10 works fine. But, IE still loses images on graphic intense sites. (e.g., DeviantART)

When ever I used anything above 2/4 (default), I would have some images not loading.

With this filter, I'm able to go up to 99/99. LoL I'm not going to keep it that high, I'm just testing to make sure it works.

Cool! This also fixes the IE "max connections per server" problem too.

Hi lnminente,

Unfortunately, that doesn't work. The images still come up tiny.

Hiya Jor,

That does work.. Still, I hope TEggHead has an idea on how to get it to work, without that workaround..

Hiya TEggHead,

Talk about an interesting filter! LoL

Does the script work in Opera? I couldn't quite tell if it does. Although, I did notice the images were the wrong size when they appeared.. LoL (e.g., the computer cops logo)

Even on cable, these filters seems to help in IE.

Great work!

~JD

EDIT: Geez, somebody needs spell check. LMAO Also, it does work in Opera.. However, the images are the same size as the clear.gif..

Hey now, I see some filters I already like.

BTW, you might want to re-eanble "Run Proxomitron as a systray icon", it took me a sec to figure out why it wasn't showing... LoL
