new filter set released
« on: April 28, 2002, 12:53:38 PM »
new release (2.50p, April 28, 2002) of my filter set based on zxlist at:

(direct link): http//virgolamobile.50megs.com/binaries/proxofilters.zip (88 kb)
(proxo page): http://virgolamobile.50megs.com/proxomitron.html

if you use it or are interested, please upgrade your filter set.

changes:

* 3 duped/useless filters removed (they were 1 active + 2 disabled)
* "Google Cached Header Remove" removed (it seems no match anymore)
* safer "Kill Javascript Banners" (this is the main change)
* some changes in filters order
* some various tweaks
* no new filters added

read all details in "leggimi.txt" in both english/italian language.

regards,
altosax.

Hi,
50megs do not allow for direct download, we have to go to the site first.

thanks arne,
i never experienced this myself because i never downloaded my filters from links on other sites :)

i'm not sure, but if you use a download manager, for example getright, you could try to download them directly with this setting:
tools/getright configuration/advanced/protocols/send referer in http requests/generated from the download url.

this settings helped me, sometimes, to get files from pages i cannot access. if it still doesn't work, set this anyway (sometimes could be better that the owner of a site hosting a file thinks that all people download it from its page ;)

regards,
altosax.

hi all, friends.

i've just upload a new release (2.50q, 89 kb) of my filter set based on zxlist on my proxo page:

http://virgolamobile.50megs.com/proxomitron.html

changes:

- removed 1 filter;
- added "remove content of noscript tags";
- disabled 1 filter;
- modified order of some filters;
- various tweaks;
- all filters revisited to place or remove "Multi = TRUE" as really needed, because of the recent scott's explanation of this feature on yahoo group.

this new release is visibly faster then all previous release: if you use my filter set, please upgrade it.
if you have suggestions, please send them to me.

regards,
altosax.

new release (2.50r, May 23, 2002) of my filter set.

this time i've made many changes. the main are the addition of filters to bypass antiadbuster and the addition of tag manager. some filters improved and some removed so the config file now is smaller, simpler and faster.

but it is not as i dream of it ;)

altosax.

many changes, but not changelog, sorry.
i've also started rearranging filters according to my tutorial (i don't know why i had to write it first than list the filters in right order :)

regards,
altosax.

Hey alto:

Just wondering if you can tell me how to get around this site with you filter set?

http://www.phpbuddy.com

I have entered the site to my allowcookie list, and the adbuster.txt, and I just can not get around it?

Do you have any ideas? I am trying to figure out this adblocker work-a-round that has been discussed on these boards most recently.

Thanks in advance,

hi cj,
i've accessed phpbuddy just now. disable the header filter:

Key = "Cookie: Reply No Ad Blocker (out)"

hey, i've wrote DISABLE!! the trick is in the bypass list, take a look.

glad you are using my filter set,

altosax.

Thanks I just "disabled" the "Cookie: Reply No Ad Blocker (out)" filter and it loaded right up..

Hmmm... You have something in your bypasslist? I didn't look at it for I kept my old one apon installing your set. Oh - okay I found what you were referring to, and I once had that entry in my bypasslist, and I must of removed it a while back out of a dire sense of complete frustration...

Thanks once again, so far it is rocking hard your set it is..

Hi guys, I'm not having any trouble with antiad busters - I just put
*antiadbuster
in my bypass list, it works fine on all the buster sites so far..

Your filter for adblocker and dumbsites are working just great, as this site is being filtered correctly without a hitch.

altosax..
I was wondering if you can tell me why I am getting this error when I load the webpage http://www.bitdefender.com/virusi/virusi_descrieri.php?virus_id=1

    There appears to be an error with this layer:
    Frame: object
    Layer:0divoCMenu1b

It appears the be attributed to the Tame Javascript 1 [vm version] filter.
If I disable it I don't get the error.

I am using IE 6.

Thanks.
