Interesting Socks Proxy Prog - Any Feedback?

Hi Folks,
OK, moving right along with this Sockschain thing...
Yes, the program works but there will have to be some serious proxy server hunting in order to optimize speed and avoid filtering. Right now it's like a bad 28K connection. Took a full 3 minutes to just get to this thread! Went to an adult site and got a lovely page saying "This site has been blocked by the American Family Filter". Waah! I'm very reluctant to use the "Socks Proxy Hunter" prog because I tried the other Proxyhunter just once and got a "concerned" letter from my ISP. Bleh!

Also, contrary to Sidki3003's suggestion I use the "auto-creating chain" option because my real IP comes up otherwise. I'm using IE 6 to test this all out and it's important to also list 127.0.0.1 in the exceptions box under the proxy config.

As for chaining Proxo (which I haven't tried yet) the developer recommends using the "Sockscap" prog - http://www.socks.nec.com/reference/sockscap.html - which makes the process even more elaborate. Just read the help file as I'm sure you have.

Maybe after the rampant experimentation, I'll finally get some work done.

I did an interface Sock Chain and Proxo. together, it ran perfectly.  I also tried Sock Cap, but it did not work.   I just went back to Sock Chain and Proxo. First I use Mutiple Proxy program to test all proxies, then pick out the fastest ones, import these fastest proxies into Sock Chain.

Some proxies have safe surf program to lock out violent, prono. materials.  It will give you a warning.  Just take those proxies out.  Another thing: If you rotate proxies more often, it may catch attention of your internet provider.  It is good idea to set the rotation time about 30 minutes.
