Kill Counter in Link tag
« on: May 20, 2002, 11:43:46 PM »
Over at www.house27.ch I found a counter in a style tag like this:

<link rel=stylesheet type="text/css" href="http://trans.house27.ch/counter/trans.php?ID=11294">

So I created a filter which will ignore the link tag if the folder "counter" is a part of the link:

[Patterns]
Name = "Counter in Style.css"
Active = TRUE
Bounds = "<links*>"
Limit = 256
Match = "1counter2"
Replace = "<!-- counter in stylesheet killed -->"

Best wishes

Which would be quicker, to kill it as you have in a web filter or to leave it to the URL-Killer? I'm just guessing but it seems like it would be quicker to let the URL-Killer snag it.
