Hi Arne. Great job on getting things up and running!

My only concern regarding which board to use would be whether or not the php board will allow us to post our filters without having special characters or html tags removed. That's the most important factor. After that comes speed, ease of use and features that make discussion more lively.

From your perspective things to consider are; Which board offers the most attractive admin features? Then security is a concern. Is the new ISP running the most recent version of php? Is the php board based on the most recent version?

I would be a bit sad about the old messages not being directly available any more.
It's different than being still reachable in read-only mode on the other forum.
Sometimes you stumble over a solution to a problem months later and post it then.
Besides that it would be quite difficult to know what has been already discussed.

You can try it out for a while. We can always delete the post over there when necssesary. I am not sure, because I have not tested it out with many filters.

It is easier and also has much more speed.

The admin is better on this one. As I made much of that myself. The other board is the latest 2.0.1 recently made public. The php version is  4.2.0

And I think it would be a bad idea to lock this forum here, if we should decide to make a change. I am sure the two must run parallell for a long time until the change becomes natural. There are, as said, many discussions here that will take a long time to finish. Too many projects are alive here.

All in all, I will let it be up to you all to decide what will be the best to do. There will be no real change before after summer anyway. So until then we have both the forums around as it is today, where one can chose where to be and to test the phpBB2 board. We can then make a vote after summer and give room for all the arguments we have. I also have to get used to the new isp, as there are many things that are different and there are lots of more options. Here we have php, asp and cgi - all in one package. Kind of neat. So we have the freedom to chose whatever we wish.

Best wishes

Hello MY PROXOMITRONIC-FRIENDS!
ARNE, You know I with You Man, even if we have to "chat" through Two "Tin-Cans" with a piece of String Stretched between them! I like the other FORUM and there's not one thing wrong with it, but there is something about This One that feels Like Home! I guess it's because I been hangin My Hat here at this one Longer.

Smart Man once told me, "Home is where the Heart is, and Your Heart it wherever You hang your Hat at". GOOD to See It Up and Running Again!
May GOD Bless You One & All!
