Blockfile for "Kill Applet Object"

Can someone re-create this filter that I may use a blockfile as an "exceptions list"? I would like to keep this "web filter" active, and just use a blockfile for sites that I want to allow.

hi cj,
simply modify the URL field as follow:

URL = "$TYPE(htm)(^$LST(list_name_here))"

it exclude the filter for all urls listed in the blocklist. remember to add your list to the [blocklists] section.

 activated at the same time as the web filter above will it interfere?

i don't know what browsers are affected by these exploits (but i think ie). i'm actually using mozilla 1.0 rc1. if you have one of these i suggest you to maintain the header filter, if not you can delete it. it is not the same because it kills the outgoing urls making them unavailable.

I didn't see that. Thanks. I thought you were using Internet Explorer? How long have you been using Mozilla? Isn't your filter set IE optimized, or both are fine "Out of the Box"?

i'm using mozilla from yesterday
i really like it: just few days of transition and i will ready to kill ie (do you know ieradicator? here it is: http://www.litepc.com/).

don't worry for my filter set, it works fine with every browser, and i will take care of users that have a browser other than mine.
sometimes few filters can require a specific browser for example to correctly execute the cascading stylesheet or some proprietary javascript functions and methods, but in my filter set i'm not using css, only pure html (perhaps some deprecated but always supported tag) and safe javascript so if you like it you will never have any problem.

anyway, you will soon be able to write your own filters yourself, right?

Yes I plan on learning more, as I am mentally alert and have the time to do just that. Even Scott had forewarned me about getting myself confused by going overboard while trying to do to much at once. He had suggested that I read the helps and learn to utilize the tools found within Proxomitron itself. Unfortunately, my job is physically demanding and I am neither fully alert, nor have I had the time to when I am. But, I do know where to go when I need the help.
