A new subcategory has been added to the Links section. A place to gather links to sites where one can test filters. I have added an URL to a site where one can test the filters against popup-windows, and I hope you add links to other sites where we can test our different filters.

If possible, only submit sites that are officialy offering tests. This is not always possible, but be sure not submit links to offending sites (porn etc.)

Best wishes

I've seen ad demonstration pages on the web sites of companies
that have created some of the more annoying ad techniques. They
are intended to show webmasters what they can get if they pay
to put them on their web site. Would these be considered appropriate
links for testing?

Also, I believe only you can add new subcategories in the Links section

If you'll add subcategories for HTTP, Javascript, Java, URL, I'll
add some links for them.

Beware that some of these "demo" pages are sometimes just mock-ups (usually in flash).  Especially if it works its evil using some sort of JavaScript - they don't want webmasters to just copy the code and do it themselves

My guess is that it is probably best to use friendly test pages which are made with the intention to let people try out their web filtering software, or pages we all can confirm is safe to use. We could also host our own test pages if someon submitts the code.

Pooms. I am not sure what you mean by adding more subcategories. Under which category do you mean we should have these subcategories you mention?

Yes, I've seen some of those too!! I was disappointed when I realized it
was just a stupid flash demo, not the real thing. Of course you can always
copy the javascript off a site that is really using it

The javascript code for shoshkele's is pretty interesting
